DO YOU HAVE CLASS FOR BEGINNERS?

Yes! We have built a fundamentals program for beginners, so that they have the best success in our academy. We’ll make sure we help your child every step of the way.

WILL MY CHILD BECOME A BULLY?

A specific part of our preschool and kids martial arts classes at SWAMA is teaching respect, and teaching when to use their new self defense training and when to NOT use them. We find that our students become more confident to stand up to bullies. And have more humility and kindness to others though their martial arts lessons.

HOW OLD DOES MY CHILD HAVE TO BE TO GET STARTED?

Our programs start at the age of 4 years old.

WHAT IS MUAY THAI?

Muay Thai is known as the “Art of 8 limbs” because it makes use of 8 points of contact namely, punches, elbows, knees and kicks. This differs it from other stand-up combat sports such as boxing (2 points - fists) and karate (4 points - fists and feet).

WHAT ARE THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF MUAY THAI?

Doing Muay Thai can help with weight loss, strength gain, cardiovascular health, stress relief, and mental health.

IS MUAY THAI GOOD FOR SELF-DEFENSE?

Through various punching and kicking techniques, one can become an effective striker, able to defend himself or herself from multiple attackers. This is one of the primary reasons why Muay Thai is so effective for self-defense.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MUAY THAI AND MMA?

In comparison with Muay Thai vs MMA, Muay Thai is a highly specialized kind of martial arts and it is distinguished by attacking opponents with fists, elbows and shins. On the other hand, MMA lacks specialization and a unified trait as it is a combat sport (combines many fighting methods).

I'VE NEVER DONE PERSONAL TRAINING. CAN I STILL DO IT?

YES! Our trainers are ready to meet you where you are and help get you where you want to go.
